This is a horse named "Summer" The picture was given to me over the net. I liked his look so I carved it. I'm a self taught hobby carver. I don't live in an area that has a lot of carvers around. and there are no schools or anything that I could get lessons at but I do enjoy it very much. The up side is there are plenty of cows and horses around here for me to look at. The down side is I have no one to share notes or ideas with. So I'm sending it to you all. Thanks for the tips and the plans and all the other neat stuff on your site... |

(A.K.A.) Adirondack Mountain Man I saw the pattern for the floral clock and decided to try my hand at carving. Well that photo of my clock was the result. I was just visiting your site and saw the visitor gallery thought I would send you a photo of my first relief carving. The different colors on the flowers and leaves are different stains the base is cypress and the carving is pine.
